About the Client
Our client is a Texas-based institution of higher education undertaking a major digital transformation initiative. They are in the early planning stages of procuring and implementing a modern, cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding the institution through the strategic planning and implementation phases of this critical transition from an outdated PeopleSoft environment to a scalable, modern ERP platform.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ERP Business Analyst to support a campus-wide ERP modernization effort. The analyst will help assess institutional needs, gather and synthesize requirements across departments, and support decision-making in ERP system selection and implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills and stakeholder engagement experience, ideally within a higher education or public sector setting.
This position requires close coordination with stakeholders across multiple college departments, including finance, procurement, student services, and IT. The analyst will also be expected to support leadership presentations, including potential appearances at board meetings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and document business needs and system requirements.
- Translate complex operational needs into ERP system specifications.
- Provide guidance and expertise on cloud-based ERP solutions suitable for higher education environments.
- Assist in planning the system procurement and implementation approach.
- Support the college through the ERP implementation phase.
- Prepare materials and present findings or progress updates to leadership and possibly at board meetings.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience developing and documenting technical and operational requirements across multiple departments.
- Proven ability to work across functional teams and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 1+ year experience with cloud-based ERP implementation in an educational environment.
- Familiarity with higher education operations, including finance, procurement, payments, and student interfacing systems.
- Hybrid – Mix of on-site (Baytown, TX) and remote work
- Any travel or lodging expenses will be the responsibility of the contractor unless pre-approved in writing by the client.
