Position Title: Project Manager - Intermediate (IT Security Specialist)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager - Intermediate with a strong background in Information Technology Security to join our museum's IT department. This role is essential in safeguarding our digital infrastructure while supporting the museum's mission through secure and efficient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain complex IT systems including network infrastructure, firewalls, servers, Office 365, SQL databases, and backup solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, security, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on technology use across departments.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and contribute to IT planning.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Administer the Gateway Galaxy POS system and ensure secure database management.
  • Serve as a policy and compliance lead for cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II help desk support and manage user access and permissions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align IT security with operational needs.
  • Conduct regular internal and external audits to ensure compliance with IT standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Audio/Visual systems
  • IT network infrastructure
  • Help desk support (Tier I & II)
  • Managing user accounts and network resources
  • Proven ability to maintain IT operations and support structures during strategic evaluations.Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in Project Management within an IT or security-focused environment.
