GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU WILL NEED GM IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. THIS INCLUDES DIRECT COMPANY SPONSORSHIP, ENTRY OF GM AS THE IMMIGRATION EMPLOYER OF RECORD ON A GOVERNMENT FORM, AND ANY WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIRING A WRITTEN SUBMISSION OR OTHER IMMIGRATION SUPPORT FROM THE COMPANY (e.g., H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, etc.).
This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a Dimensional Engineer at Orion Assembly, you will support the launch and long-term dimensional integrity of the T1XX-X programs. Initially focused on either the A-side or B-side of the Body Shop, you will expand your scope as the build progresses, ultimately supporting both sides of the system. Working under the guidance of the Lead Dimensional Engineer, you will help establish robust measurement systems, validate tooling and fixtures, and ensure dimensional alignment across Paint and General Assembly (GA).
This role is critical not only during launch but also in steady-state production, where you will maintain dimensional stability, support supplier quality, and mentor emerging talent.
