Role: SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 12+ Months
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of S/4HANA solutions for manufacturing and distribution operations, focusing on the Assembly-to-Stock process.
  • Analyze and streamline raw material procurement, consumption, and inventory flow to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define functional requirements, map business processes, and develop system solutions.
  • Configure and customize relevant S/4HANA modules such as MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution).
  • Integrate raw material planning with MRP and production execution to ensure accurate inventory visibility and timely stock availability.
  • Support process optimization, automation, and reporting across procurement, production, and warehouse management.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams and coordinate across cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics).
  • Conduct end-to-end solution validation, testing, and user training.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for S/4HANA Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of SAP experience, including 3+ years in S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing models, particularly Assembly-to-Stock (A2S) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) processes.
  • Hands-on configuration experience in MM, PP, and Inventory Management.
  • Proven experience in integrating raw material workflows into production and finished goods inventory.
  • Experience in BOM (Bill of Materials), Work Centers, Routing, and Production Orders.
  • Knowledge of MRP, batch management, and warehouse management processes.
  • Ability to document process flows, design specifications, and solution blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in the electrical or discrete manufacturing industry is preferred.
Nice-to-Have
  • Exposure to EWM, Quality Management (QM), or Finance integration (FI/CO).
  • Experience in SAP Activate methodology.
  • Familiarity with Fiori apps and user experience design.
