Role: Hardware Validation Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94089 (On-Site)
Duration: Long term Contract
Pay Range: $70-$75/hr.

This team is looking for a Hardware Validation Engineer to validate hardware components, subsystems, and systems in a high-volume production environment. The role requires strong hands-on hardware testing skills and the ability to write Python scripts to streamline validation, ensure repeatability, and manage large test cycles. The engineer will be critical in ensuring reliability, manufacturability, and compliance of hardware before mass deployment.
Day to Day:
- Develop and execute scalable validation plans for hardware components and systems
- Perform hardware testing of components, subsystems, and full systems in a high-volume environment.
- Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs, TDRs, and power meters to validate electrical performance.
- Write and maintain Python scripts for test execution, data collection, and results analysis at scale.
- Review schematics and PCB layouts to ensure specification compliance and manufacturability.
- Analyze large datasets from validation runs and provide structured recommendations.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), sustaining engineering, second source qualification, and cost-down validation.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and sustaining teams to quickly resolve hardware issues and improve throughput.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware validation and testing at component, subsystem, and system levels
- Hands-on expertise in testing hardware in high-volume environments.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation, equipment control, and data processing.
- Knowledge of power validation, thermal testing, and high-speed/low-speed I/O validation.
- Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs, TDRs, and power meters.
- Ability to interpret test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Pluses:
- Master s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with datacenter or networking hardware (servers, switches, routers).
- Familiarity with signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), PDN design, and high-speed circuit validation.
- Background in test strategy design for large-scale or high-volume environments.
- Experience with NPI processes, sustaining engineering, and supplier engagement.
