Job Details

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Director of Legal Recruiting.
  • Assist in coordinating and planning all aspects of the summer associate program (events, trainings, work assignments, reviews etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records for the summer program.
  • Assist with summer associate onboarding and orientation as necessary.
  • Attend summer associate program events as required.
  • Coordinate mid- and end-of-summer reviews.
  • Coordinates events and sponsorship opportunities as needed.
  • Serve as a firm ambassador.
  • Coordinates and recruiting materials and processing of applications and callback decisions.
  • Ownership of scheduling for all interviews as needed.
  • Coordinates hiring meeting materials and assists with follow up efforts.
  • Maintain database with accurate and complete records.
  • Assist with Fall Associate onboarding and orientation as necessary.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews for potential candidates, including phone, video, and in-person interviews.
  • Liaise with candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers to ensure a smooth interview process.
  • Prepare and send interview agendas and materials to candidates and interviewers.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for candidates as needed.
  • Conduct office tours for candidates, summer associates and fall associates.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as requested.
  • Work collaboratively and across the team and other departments of the firm.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and four-six years of previous experience working in a law firm or in legal recruiting preferred.
  • Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Maintain the highest discretion and confidentiality.
  • Able to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
  • Able to work effectively and diligently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research proficiency; applicant tracking system knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including being proactive and lead on projects to provide high quality results.
  • Professional demeanor and sound judgment.

Working Conditions

  • This position may require travel for campus visits and recruiting events.
  • Evening work will be required during peak recruiting seasons, especially for attending summer associate program events.
  • Employees are required to be in the office Tuesday-Thursday, and occasionally during peak hours other days of the week.
