Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) protects the public by preparing court-involved youth to be successful citizens. DJJ is committed to excellence in public safety by providing effective interventions that improve the lives of youth, strengthening both families and communities within the Commonwealth.
DJJ is seeking an Information Security Analyst. The Information Security Analyst assists in ensuring that a consistent, dependable, and high level of technical security is maintained, and that the Department's information and IT systems are adequately protected.
The analyst will assist with maintaining the department's KnowBe4 information security awareness training program, maintaining the agency's Nucleus vulnerability management program, maintaining the agency's Information Security Program policies and procedures, and maintaining the agency's governance, risk, and compliance reporting within the Commonwealth's Archer system, and work with the ISO to review and approve information security requests and exceptions.
Minimum Qualifications
General knowledge of information security concepts,
Basic understanding of network architecture, protocols, devices, and services,
Proficiency using basic and advanced information technology solutions,
Good interpersonal skills such as communication and teamwork.

Considerable training and/or experience in information technology or related field.
