Workday Extend Consultant
Workday Extend Consultant designs, develops, and deploys custom applications and integrations on the Workday platform to meet specific business needs. This role requires expertise in Workday Extend, cloud architectures, integration tools like Workday Studio, web technologies (APIs, REST, SOAP), and a strong understanding of such as HCM or Finance. Consultants collaborate with clients to gather requirements, architect solutions, and ensure best practices and security standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development:
Design and build custom applications using Workday Extend to extend Workday's core functionality.
Requirement Gathering:
Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand their business challenges and gather requirements for custom solutions.
Integration Development:
Develop and maintain integrations using tools like Workday Studio and APIs to connect Workday with other systems.
Solution Architecture:
Architect and implement Workday Extend capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions and ensure successful deployment.
Best Practices:
Ensure all development adheres to Workday best practices, security guidelines, and data governance standards.
Required Skills and Experience
Workday Extend:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience designing and developing custom apps with Workday Extend.
Integrations:
Strong experience with Workday Integrations, Workday Studio, EIBs, and REST/SOAP APIs.
Cloud and Web Technologies:
Proficiency in cloud SaaS architecture, API concepts (SOAP/REST), JSON, XML, and web service authentication methods (OAuth, SAML).
Workday Knowledge:
Familiarity with Workday HCM, Financial Management, and other functional areas.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage client expectations.
