Job Details
We are seeking a staff augmentation subcontract for the period of 6 months. It is not anticipated that the work will continue beyond the term of the contract as at that point the M&O of these projects will be handled by the application services team staff. The workload of the Application Services team has exceeded the resource capacity of the team. Several smaller projects have come in for the team that require resource commitments above that which the team can support with our staff. As the increase of workload to complete these projects is temporary, we do not believe that there is the long term need to support a full-time staff position.
Working with the Application Services team lead to receive day to day work assignments, the contractor will be expected to follow our work tracking process in Jira as well as our software lifecycle processes. It will also be expected that the contractor will work within our software development standards and code review process to ensure quality code is produced and delivered. Code assignments will include:
- Make enhancements to the Peer Review System.
- Perform maintenance on the Proposal and Partnership System
- Make enhancements and perform maintenance to the Laboratory Overhead Investment Electronic Submission System
- Create a new application to replace the old Employee Education Program application
