Job Details

job summary:

Biggest projects are around Cloud Networking skills, so that is the biggest ask. Preferably AWS and Azure.


This is for the Core team that handles data centers


Cisco Nexus routing and switches (9k is the version they are on)


OSPF, BGP, BFD protocols


Palo Alto firewalls, would be a plus.


Projects are building out new cloud network environments as they move applications to the cloud. Enable network connectivity between their cloud networking (mostly AWS) and their data centers.


Should be a 2-3 round interview process including a remote lab networking session

Key Responsibilities


- Design, configure, and support cloud and on-prem network infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Cisco ACI)


- Manage connectivity solutions including Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and BGP routing


- Support hybrid environments integrating Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto firewalls (VM & hardware), and VPNs


- Provide Tier 2/3 support and participate in on-call rotation


- Troubleshoot performance, security, and connectivity issues across enterprise networks


- Perform capacity planning, risk assessments, and contingency planning


- Evaluate new technologies, recommend improvements, and contribute to network strategy


- Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, standards, and configurations


- Mentor junior team members and support cross-team initiatives


Qualifications


Minimum:


- Bachelor's or Technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience


- 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering


- Proficiency in cloud networking (Azure/AWS), BGP, and data center technologies


- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW (hardware & VM), Cisco ACI, Nexus, and QoS policies


- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills


- Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems


- Willingness to travel up to 10%


Preferred:


- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools


- AWS Certification


- Previous experience in large-scale hybrid cloud environments


Specialized Technologies


- Cloud Networking: Azure (ExpressRoute), AWS (Direct Connect), VPC, Transit Gateway


- Routing/Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI


- Security: Palo Alto firewalls (hardware & VM), VPN, segmentation, network policy controls


- Performance: QoS, SLA monitoring, backbone design, network optimization
