Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Duration: 11+ Months (Possible temp to hire)
Location: Maple Grove, MN 55311
Onsite Role
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design experience
- Seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team in developing innovative embolic coil designs.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and collaborate with various stakeholders effectively.
- Lead the design and development of embolic coils, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Utilize mechanical design principles to create and optimize embolic coil designs, balancing conflicting requirements
- Creating a plan for development of product design, including cascading or dependent experiments.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to a broad audience, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure project success.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Conduct testing and validation of embolic coil designs to meet regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in embolic coil technology and incorporate best practices into the design process.
- Interface with Physicians/Cath Lab personnel to obtain feedback on concepts and performance of new devices.
- May train and/or provide work direction to technicians and entry-level engineers.
Education/Experience:
- 3-4+ Years with BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engr
- 1-2+ Years with MS, (ME or Chem Engr). NO Biomed degree
- Mechanical design experience
- Experienced that can showcase candidate has developed something (also someone that perhaps has been in a design competition)
- Med device experience preferred
