Senior Anaplan Developer (Hybrid - Beverly Hills, CA)

Location: Hybrid Beverly Hills, CA (4 days Onsite)

Position Type: Contract

Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience with at least 5 years of hands-on Anaplan development.

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading name in the retail industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Anaplan Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced Anaplan models. This role is pivotal in driving key planning and forecasting initiatives, specifically supporting retail planning functions such as sales forecasting, inventory management, supply chain, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in Anaplan, business planning, and retail industry processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on Anaplan development, including leading complex implementations.
  • Certified Anaplan Model Builder required; Solution Architect certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience building Anaplan models for retail planning use cases.
  • Deep understanding of retail planning cycles, sales forecasting, merchandising, supply chain, and inventory management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration tools (Anaplan Connect, APIs, ETL) and retail data flows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and performance optimization.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain sophisticated Anaplan models to support retail planning functions such as sales forecasting, inventory management, supply chain, and financial planning.
  • Gather and analyze complex business requirements; translate them into robust Anaplan solutions that align with retail best practices.
  • Optimize model architecture and performance to handle large retail data sets efficiently.
  • Integrate Anaplan with ERP, POS, CRM, and other retail systems to enable seamless data exchange.
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards, modules, and workflows tailored to retail business users.
  • Act as a key advisor to stakeholders and collaborate closely with Finance, Merchandising, Operations, and IT teams.
  • Provide guidance and and mentorship to junior developers and model builders.
  • Support testing, deployment, and training for end-users.
  • Ensure Anaplan models follow governance, security, and change management best practices.
