Position: Senior ServiceNow Developer W2
Type: Contract (W2)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with 12+ years of IT experience and deep expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in leading complex ServiceNow implementations, integrating with enterprise systems, and mentoring junior developers, while ensuring alignment with best practices, governance, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, CSM, HAM/SAM, etc.)
- Architect and implement custom solutions, including forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, and notifications
- Drive the development of sophisticated Service Portals, widgets, and catalog items with a focus on user experience and scalability
- Architect and implement complex integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and custom spokes
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical designs, and oversee solution delivery
- Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor junior ServiceNow developers
- Ensure platform performance, security, and compliance with enterprise standards
- Manage large-scale data imports, transformation maps, scheduled jobs, and background scripts
- Oversee unit testing, automated testing (ATF), peer reviews, and UAT cycles
- Support and guide upgrade and patching strategies, ensuring seamless transition of custom developments
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all customizations and integrations
- Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new ServiceNow capabilities and recommending adoption strategies
Qualifications
- 12+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in ServiceNow development and architecture
- Deep expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules, including at least 3+ years in CSM
- Proficiency with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Portal, and scoped application development
- Advanced experience with REST/SOAP integrations and enterprise integration patterns
- Strong understanding of security models, ACLs, scoped access controls, and data separation
- Skilled in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and both client-side and server-side scripting
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Translation Framework and multilingual deployments
- Proven experience in platform upgrades, deprecations, and remediation strategies
- Certifications: ServiceNow CSA (required), CAD or Implementation Specialist (preferred)
- Exposure to AI Search, Next Experience UI, and Workspaces a plus
- Understanding of ITIL processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies
