POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Engineering Co-op will assist developers and testers in the production of a new medical device product aimed at improving the patient care by providing enhanced visual metrics and trends relating to the patient's health. This will include software development, testing, and manual verifications of the medical device in a simulated cath lab environment. The co-op will attend daily stand-up meetings, perform code reviews, write software, and work closely with other teams to generate a quality patient-care product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct manual testing for the embedded software for the medical device

Write test cases and produce test plans for release cycles

Create automated test scripts for integration testing of the device software

Participate in daily meetings with other scrum team members

Create bug reports for defects in the software and test bug fixes
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Student pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, data engineering, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field

Knowledge of basic programming languages (JavaScript, Python, C#, Elixir/Erlang, etc.)

Knowledge of database languages such as SQL

Knowledge of heart anatomy and physiology is a plus

Knowledge of software containers and Docker/Kubernetes is a plus

Knowledge of software test frameworks (Cypress/Mocha/Jasmine/Pytest/Junit) is a plus
