We are seeking an experienced Plant Engineering and Facilities Manager to oversee the development, execution, and maintenance of engineering projects and facility operations manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring all systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires strong technical expertise, project management capability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This leader will manage the capital investment portfolio, support large-scale automation initiatives, and drive operational excellence through effective facility and utilities management.

Job Details

Engineering and Capital Project Leadership

Serve as a core member of the Plant Engineering Leadership Team, acting as the primary liaison between local operations and the corporate engineering function.
Plan and lead capital improvement initiatives, from concept to execution, including scope development, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, contractor oversight, and implementation.
Manage the full lifecycle of CapEx projects-track timelines, expenditures, and approvals; ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate with internal departments to identify and resolve compliance, safety, or performance concerns that require engineering solutions.
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting to the production and maintenance teams, especially for root cause analysis of complex equipment issues.
Maintain and publish regular project updates and status reports; contribute to ongoing development of engineering standards and documentation.

Facilities and Utilities Oversight

Direct the upkeep and operation of plant infrastructure including building systems, grounds, utilities, and support equipment.
Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations and internal safety and sanitation standards across facility systems such as:
HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Compressed air and power distribution infrastructure
Wastewater treatment systems
Fire protection and life safety systems
Develop and manage facility maintenance plans and infrastructure budgets; implement preventive maintenance practices across plant services.
Lead energy efficiency initiatives and utility optimization strategies to support operational sustainability goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Controls/Automation, or related field).
Prior management experience with technical teams and capital project execution.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, utility, and building systems, including relevant codes and regulations.
Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and support complex systems.
Technical familiarity with:
Boilers and pressure vessels
Chillers and cooling towers
Compressed air and drying systems
HVAC systems and building envelope integrity
Fire protection infrastructure
Wastewater and utility systems
