CEI’s entertainment client is seeking a Scrum Master to join their team!


Job at a glance:

  • This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 15 months, planned for extension and/or permanent placement
  • Pay rate is $70-$80/hr W2 + eligible to sign up for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) on day 1
  • Hybrid position, onsite 2 days/wk in southwest Orlando (near I-4 & Hwy 435) and remote 3 days/wk

 

The client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and coach a Scrum team dedicated to building innovative data assets. The ideal candidate will facilitate the team’s Agile journey, ensure Scrum ceremonies are effectively conducted, and help the team adhere to Agile practices to deliver value continuously.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies:

    • Sprint planning

    • Daily stand-ups

    • Sprint reviews

    • Retrospectives

  • Ensure adherence to Agile practices:

    • Guide the team on principles of Scrum and Kanban

    • Foster a self-organizing environment

  • Remove roadblocks:

    • Identify and address barriers

    • Promote problem-solving and collaboration

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment:

    • Support a culture of openness, courage, and respect

  • Coach team members:

    • Provide coaching on Scrum, Agile methodologies, and continuous improvement principles

  • Serve as a liaison:

    • Communicate between studio teams to align on project goals and progress

  • Support product backlog management:

    • Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure backlog is well-defined and prioritized

  • Facilitate effective conflict resolution:

  • Promote a learning culture:

    • Encourage knowledge sharing and professional growth around Agile, data technologies, and industry trends


Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach, preferably in data and analytics projects

  • Strong understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and Agile methodologies

  • Experience in a data environment with a good grasp of data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake)

  • Certification in Scrum Master or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe) is highly desirable

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills

  • Expertise in JIRA

  • Ability to foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and accountability

Preferred:

  • Experience with product ownership and data management, including data governance, quality, and lifecycle management

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, especially for data pipeline automation and continuous delivery

  • Knowledge of additional Agile frameworks (e.g., Lean, XP)
