Position: PM/Portfolio manager (Data Lead)

Job Description:
Participate in gathering detailed requirements, both functional and non-functional, for analytics, reporting and data feeds.
Leverage knowledge/experience of personal line insurance products, typical insurance company functions and data solutions to support activities in an insurance business.
Based on prior experience in Guidewire Insurance Suite [Policy Center (PC) and Data Hub (DH) and Info Center (IC), provide solution options to meet the requirements efficiently for reporting and data consumption needs.
Discuss and advise client on data integration approaches/options and facilitate choice of an approach to follow.
Bring knowledge of CDA Data ingestion patterns from Guidewire Cloud Platform
Perform analysis/profiling of data in the legacy systems using SQL to understand data model, data relationships and support the creation of consolidated databases.
Ensure accurate translation of all requirements to technical design specifications for populating EDW and DataHub.
For data feeds and data layers in the Cloud, map required data elements to Guidewire Raw tables that include information spread across prebuilt 300+ tables.
Identify gaps and develop specifications to fill these gaps.
Ensure that data consumption requirements are mapped to EDW and DataHub Capabilities, gaps identified, and specifications developed to build the data model.
Work with the technical team to ensure timely completion of development activities, coordinating with onsite client technical BAs, technical Leads, and Architects as necessary.
Guide downstream consumers to pull information from EDW and DataHub data layers in the cloud, by providing database queries and by providing information on data model relationships.
Support testing activities by guiding technical BA team to develop test scenarios and test the data flowing into EDW and DataHub data layers.
Work with the technical team and provide inputs to analyze the defects, and help resolved in a timely manner.
Experience:
- 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3+ years in data management or analytics-focused projects.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale data projects, from conception through to delivery.
- Strong background in Agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks).
Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of data systems, data analytics, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with data integration tools, ETL processes, and cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
- Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, or similar.
