job summary:

Our Chicago area client has a contract opportunity for a Scrum Master to facilitate agile delivery for one or more teams. The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding the team through Agile/Scrum practices, removing impediments, and ensuring effective collaboration across business, product, and technology partners. This is a hybrid role with some days onsite as needed.

responsibilities:


  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Support the product owner in maintaining a healthy backlog and prioritization
  • Remove obstacles and foster continuous improvement for the team
  • Promote Agile principles and practices across the team and stakeholders
  • Track and report progress on sprint and release deliverables
  • Weekly Timelines (PPT/PDP), dev, e2e, uat, etc.
  • Create and Manage ADO Dashboard
  • Daily/weekly scrums, retrospective, etc., agile process (cross functional teams)
  • Resource Tracking
  • Schedule meetings/take action on next steps
  • Report issues/blockers reported by offshore with PMs in a timely manner
  • Manage ADO sprint board - ensure updates, current statuses, blockers & testing completed


qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred
