This role is ideal for someone who enjoys data analysis, negotiation, and building strong supplier partnerships in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Review, execute, and enter purchase orders based on MRP requirements
- Develop sourcing strategies using spend analysis, market intelligence, and business needs
- Expedite materials, resolve shortages, and communicate impacts to production and leadership
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and complex global contracts
- Manage RMAs, address recurring quality issues, and request corrective actions
- Analyze data to identify issues and propose creative, effective solutions
- Rationalize the supplier base and maximize value across cost, quality, and service
- Partner with Quality to drive supplier and process improvements
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain accurate PO updates
- Implement ECN/ECO changes and manage supplier transitions or end of life activities
- Follow up on supplier commitments, corrective actions, and delivery performance
- Support execution of supplier strategies (Exit, Leverage, Maintain) with Strategic Sourcing
- Contribute to special projects and cross functional initiatives
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Prior manufacturing environment experience
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build supplier relationships
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Supply chain experience preferred but not required
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
- Strong communication, relationship building, and problem solving skills
- Results driven mindset with a commitment to follow through
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred
