Job Title: Senior Project Manager ServiceNow PPM/SMP

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with hands-on experience using ServiceNow PPM (Project Portfolio Management) or ServiceNow SMP for enterprise project management. This role will support the Shared Services PMO at Centene, delivering strategic IT programs aligned with key enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience within IT business management or IT finance domains, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive program plans and schedules, adjusting timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Prepare and present program status reports, consolidating updates on project health, risks, and financials for leadership.
  • Coordinate closely with Finance partners to align on forecasts, accruals, and funding approvals.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, including working sessions, steering committees, and status update calls.
  • Identify, log, track, and escalate project risks and issues, particularly related to delivery or financial impacts.
  • Collaborate with project managers to gather progress updates and ensure adherence to PMO standards and governance frameworks.
  • Validate and reconcile data in systems such as ServiceNow, ERP, or financial tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Engage with vendors and consultants to confirm deliverables, monitor timelines, and track billing accuracy.
  • Communicate program progress effectively, translating complex technical and financial details into clear, executive-ready presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects using ServiceNow PPM or SMP.
  • Experience with IT Business Management, IT Finance, or Enterprise Architecture projects.
  • Strong understanding of PMO governance, project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative, and virtual environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • PMP or PgMP certification.
  • Experience delivering IT finance or technology enablement projects for IT business customers.
