The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. Job Summary
As a Product & Test Engineering Co-Op, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with product engineering initiatives within the Electro-Optic Infrared Sensors business areas, The candidate will be responsible for supporting product improvements, while assisting in the analysis, design, development, documentation, and support of engineering engineering activities for new and existing products.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

Job Responsibilities
- Support engineering activities for multiple programs
- Support production and development projects
- Perform data analysis to assist the Product Engineering team
- Perform and complete technical projects
- Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel as required
- Ability to work independently and under the supervision of others
- Other duties as assigned
Job Responsibilities Part II
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with test equipment such as: DVM, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators etc.
- Familiarity with .NET, C, C++, Python, Visual Basic, VB Scripting, or equipment programming language
- Familiarity with schematics capture and CAD software
- Familiarity with MatLab or MathCAD programming language
- Completing assigned tasks on time
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least a 3.0 GPA at the time of application
- Be available to work Full time (40 hours per week) over the Summer semester with the abaility to move to 15-20hrs pver the Fall and Spring semesters at the DRS Dallas facility
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
- Ambitious, dedicated, and goal-oriented
