Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Ignition Integrator to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Ignition SCADA software. This includes everything from pre-sales engineering and system architecture to scripting, UI/UX development, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. Ideal candidates will have experience ranging from mid-level to architect-level and a proactive approach to delivering quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in all stages of project execution—from pre-sales through delivery and ongoing support

Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, document, and support Ignition SCADA systems

Integrate third-party software into solutions

Configure and validate protocols such as Modbus, OPC, ROC, TotalFlow, ControlLogix, and MQTT

Design and manage SQL databases, including tables, procedures, and custom queries

Write and deploy scripts to automate processes and improve system performance

Provide architectural guidance tailored to customer requirements

Support and train both internal teams and external clients

Maintain clear, effective communication across engineering, sales, and customer-facing teams

Develop and maintain technical documentation and project timelines
Qualifications
-
2+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition software

Proficiency in configuring production and development environments, gateways, and projects

Experience creating scripts and UDTs within Ignition

Familiarity with Vision and Perspective module UI/UX design

Programming experience in Python and/or Java
-
Strong knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)

Understanding of SCADA integration with RTUs, PLCs, MQTT, and related communication protocols

Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills

Self-motivated with a service-oriented mindset

Comfortable presenting to clients and working in a customer-facing role

Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

Ignition Core or Gold Certification from Inductive Automation (preferred)

Experience in the oil and gas industry is a strong plus
