Your Responsibilities

As a Factory Automation Engineer at John Deere Turf Care in Fuquay Varina, NC, You will:
Support Smart Connected Factory projects including Tech Stack Applications, Robotics & Automation, PLC, Machine Connectivity and other MES systems
Work directly with various teams to identify, analyze, select, and apply appropriate tools and practices to ensure a well monitored and scalable application solution.
Drive improvements by utilizing AI tools for software development
Maintain and troubleshoot controls and data acquisition (SCADA) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a production environment

What Skills You Need
Experience in building, testing, and deploy scalable, high-quality, secure, and full-stack software solutions that align with our business goals
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects meet business requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the tech stack
Education or experience in a Software/Electrical Engineering discipline.
Fundamental understanding of automation, electrical, and control circuit design
Good communication, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to take direction from cross functional team members and work autonomously with limited direction

What Makes You Standout
1 or more years in Manufacturing, Electrical, and Robotics Engineering
1 or more years of experience building in Ignition/React Applications
1 or more years of programming ladder logic with Allen-Bradley PLC controllers
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Power BI, and SAP HANA
Experience with machine learning techniques
Familiarity with data visualization and dashboarding tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of electrical design and applicable safety codes (NFPA70E, NEC, etc.)

Education

  • Degree in Software, Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent/ relevant experience
