Description:
We re seeking a Knowledge Manager / SharePoint Administrator to join an innovative team driving digital transformation and organizational efficiency for a national consulting leader in the life sciences industry.
In this role, you ll take ownership of how information and resources are structured, accessed, and maintained across the company designing a smarter, more intuitive SharePoint environment that empowers teams to work more effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in both strategy and execution, with a passion for knowledge management, information architecture, and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing documentation and knowledge assets across departments.
- Map current information architecture and identify redundancies, gaps, and usability issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand content needs and optimize accessibility.
- Redesign and implement a user-friendly SharePoint structure with clear governance and naming conventions.
- Develop templates, SOPs, and user guides to standardize documentation practices.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Establish governance frameworks to ensure long-term content accuracy and consistency.
- Provide training and enablement materials to support adoption of new systems and standards.
Success Metrics
- Completion of a company-wide knowledge audit within 4 6 weeks of project kickoff.
- Reduction in time spent locating key documents by 30% or more.
- Implementation of a new SharePoint architecture with 90% stakeholder adoption.
- Elimination of duplicate and outdated documents through improved governance.
- Increased use of standardized templates and style guides across departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Library Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in knowledge management, documentation strategy, or systems administration.
- Expert-level proficiency in SharePoint building, restructuring, and maintaining libraries, sites, and permissions.
- Proven track record in information architecture, taxonomy design, and content governance.
- Experience developing and managing cloud-based file storage systems (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive).
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive organizational change.
- Experience creating user guides, SOPs, and training materials.
- (Nice to Have) Background in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
- (Nice to Have) Experience in mid-sized or large corporate settings.
