Sr Project Manager | Hybrid at Chicago IL | Direct Client | W2

We are looking for two Project Managers for contract initiatives going through the end of the year. Our Chicago client is in the insurance business and has been active in growing their business via acquisition. This role will be senior level business leader exposure so you must have experience with dealing with this level and the ability to 'push back' when needed. Insurance experience would be helpful, but a strong history of successful delivery is a must. This is a hybrid work environment and 2 days the Chicago office is required.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitate and coordinate integration and change issues.
• Assist in scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management
• Build, manage, and track project plans through execution
• Compile documentation to monitor, track, and prioritize projects
• Monitor and update resource allocation needs to ensure coverage on project tasks
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion
• Proactively identify program risks and define mitigation plans to minimize impact on deliverables
• Lead meetings related to project status, risks, issues, action items, or change controls
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to stakeholders and the project team
• Provide direction to and support the project team
• Manage projects with multiple, interconnected streams
• Coordinate activities across different organizational functions
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
• Other relevant duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
• Excellent JIRA skills and understanding
• Strong analysis skills and in the use of Excel
• 8+ years of project management experience, utilizing project management methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
• Should be strong in managing multiple technical projects
• PMP certification
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to drive issue resolution
• Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve issues, and make informed decisions
• In additions to Excel, proficient in the use of other MS Office tools, including Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
