RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a leading investment management company in Boston, has role for a junior level IT and Application Support Engineer. The Engineer will work will involve a variety of technology issues including complex investment applications, data, documenting issues, and supporting the investment businesses. This role is hybrid, working part time in the Boston office - come join an exceptionally talented team.
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS degree in MIS or CIS
* 2-3 years of experience working in an application support role
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a Microsoft Windows desktop and server environment
* Highly motivated individual
* Strong communication skills
* Intermediate Microsoft SQL skills
* Basic to intermediate experience with scripting languages, including one or more of the following: Python, VBscript, PowerShell
* Experience supporting data pipelines and ETL jobs, such as with SSIS
* Experience with BI tools like Cognos or Tableau
* Experience with supporting web scraping or large data gathering jobs
* Experience with managing and supporting applications on external cloud platforms, such as SnowFlake, AWS, MS Azure a plus
* Workday experience a plus
* Understanding of DevOps principles and familiarity with Agile principles a plus
* Experience in the financial industry a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
