Description
Our client is looking to add a Test Coordinator to their growing team! This is a hybrid role in Warrendale, PA.
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to ensure a change to the environment meets the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Characteristics:
Works competently with minimal supervision
Processes and demonstrates competent written and verbal skills
Promotes a team environment and cooperation across departments
Adheres to departmental standards (process, designs, specifications, testing, documentation, incident reporting, etc.)
Maintains a current understanding of analytical and design techniques appropriate to this position
Interacts effectively with end users
Collaborates with Business, Business Analysts and Developers to understand business needs and translate into test scenarios
Mentors and provides guidance to associate and intermediate level team members
Analytical Duties:
Work collaboratively with Business, Business Analysts and Development staff to review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan
Participate in preparing the test strategy and end to end test plans
Conduct test strategy and test plan review sessions
Conduct peer reviews of developed test strategies and plans and provides feedback and corrective actions
Execute and manage all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected
Ensure solutions are tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility
Monitor the test coverage and identify coverage gaps
Identify and facilitate test data acquisition
Monitor the test progress against the schedule
Develop "go to green" plans, as needed
Create and publish test execution reports
Monitor and report defects
Conduct test result walk thru sessions with the Business teams
Ability to think abstract; ability to not conform to the norm
Willingness to learn and expand skills
Other Duties:
Participate in the development of best practice standards
Participate in Root Case Analysis of production incidents
Identify and propose process improvements for ongoing quality maturity
Participate in the development of roll out strategies, as needed
Provide customer support and training
Perform other duties as required

Decision Making Authority:
Apply problem solving and analytical skills with particular attention given to detail and accuracy
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the business and IT peers to apply analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrate the ability to trouble-shoot and resolve moderate to complex test issues
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with IT peers and the business
Experience:
o Experience leading and/or as major contributor on several significant team-oriented systems projects
o Intimate knowledge of SDLC (System or Software Development Life Cycle)
o Ability to quickly trouble-shoot and diagnose common software failure and faults
o Lead a variety of testing efforts
o Exhibits mastery with modeling techniques (e.g., data modeling, process modeling) and tools as required
o Mastery experience with SQL and other data tools
Required Product Knowledge:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Preferred Product Knowledge:
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps
Skills:

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
