Position Summary
Fairbanks Morse is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team. They will lead continuous improvement initiatives by partnering with cross functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supplier Chain, Materials Management and Program Management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives.

Note: This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Position Summary
Fairbanks Morse is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team. They will lead continuous improvement initiatives by partnering with cross functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supplier Chain, Materials Management and Program Management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to improve existing manufacturing processes with the outcome of improved quality, cost reduction and increase productivity
- Incorporate Lean principles into process improvement and implementation of new technology
- Develop standard work, control plans and inspection methods for new and existing products
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to meet organizational objectives
- Monitors, analyzes, and maintains key performance indicators to assess areas for opportunity
- Facilitate and lead problem solving efforts to identify root cause and implementation of countermeasures
- Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems using computer and logic-based methods
- Work within environmental safety and health regulations in an effort to provide a safe work environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, or related engineering field
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing facility or relevant experience
- Strong project management skills and proven motivation to drive results
- Toolbox which includes time study, plant layout, root cause analysis, critical path methodology
- Proven project driven results
- Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred
- Written and Verbal communication including technical writing skills
- Ability to use Microsoft suite programs
