RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing and established engineering technology company is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer in Orem, UT. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this search assignment.

Overview:
We're looking for a talented and forward-thinking Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic, cross-functional engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and software systems, where you'll design, test, and refine advanced mechatronic solutions. You'll collaborate across disciplines, support field operations, and ensure seamless integration of hardware and software in complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
* Mechatronics Engineer will design and implement hardware/software interfaces across engineering domains
* Support customers through system analysis, debugging, bench testing, and field validation
* Ensure new designs are compatible with existing systems and evaluate their impact
* Analyze and test radio systems for operational range, data throughput, and EW (Electronic Warfare) effectiveness
* Develop and optimize mechatronic subsystems for performance, reliability, and maintainability
* As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will document designs, test results, and procedures to support certification and continuous improvement
* Participate in prototype builds, system integration, and verification testing

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
* Solid foundation in mechanical, electrical, and control systems integration
* Hands-on experience with embedded systems, sensors, actuators, and real-time software
* Experience in system-level design for defense, aerospace, robotics, or industrial automation
* Experience with building, testing, developing, and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems or products
* Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and compliance
* Understanding of EW concepts and testing protocols
* Proficient in CAD tools, circuit design, and programming languages (C/C++, Python, MATLAB)
* Strong troubleshooting skills, both in lab and field environments
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary settings
* Familiarity with RF and radio communication systems is a strong plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
