Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiators. You will help ensure that today is safe, and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Systems Engineer SME joining our team to help support a program at Scott Air Force Base in O'Fallon, IL.

The Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program will be reengineering

business processes, performing data interface/integration services, implementing a single,

integrated system, and leveraging commercial software to conduct transportation, financial, and logistical operations for approximately 36,000 users.

GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineer SME well skilled in leading technical functions for large, complex information technology systems.

HOW a Systems Engineer Expert WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Responsible for developing complex information technology systems and applications, applying business process improvement practices, evaluating hardware and software, and assisting in establishing standards for information systems procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in management information systems, Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

  • Required Experience:
    • 12+ years of related experience

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Demonstrated experience with ERP platforms (or equivalent FMS/TMS systems).
    • Demonstrated performance as a Systems Engineer/Architect, developing or implementing information systems with a broad experience base across the entire project lifecycle.
    • Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas, concepts, and thoughts across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • The ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
    • Experience/familiarity with DoD Instruction 5000.88, Engineering of Defense Systems, and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditations.
    • Extensive experience obtaining and maintaining DoD Risk Management Framework Accreditation
    • Integration experience with programs of similar scope

  • Security Clearance Level: Active DOD Secret

  • Location: Onsite - Scott, AFB

The likely salary range for this position is $166,280 - $224,968. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
