SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 Developer

Our client is mid-upgrade to the latest S/4HANA release and needs a senior Fiori specialist to own the UI workstream. You will step into an active project, tighten up custom apps, activate standard content, and steer the Fiori launchpad through go-live.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Refactor custom UI5 apps replace deprecated APIs, align with target SAPUI5 library, and tune performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Build and maintain launchpad content activate standard tiles, create catalogs / groups / spaces, set target mappings, and coordinate transports across landscapes.
• Extend OData and CDS services generate or enhance CDS views, RAP services, or SEGW projects; troubleshoot service activation, metadata mismatches, and $batch performance.
• Harden security design PFCG roles and catalog-based authorizations with the GRC team; validate SoD-compliant access to every tile.
• Lead release support prepare smoke-test scripts and rollback steps; import final transports; troubleshoot launchpad or UI5 issues during the deployment window.
• Deliver hyper-care triage post-go-live defects, document fixes, and hand off clean technical notes to internal teams.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• 6+ years hands-on SAPUI5 / Fiori development (freestyle and Fiori Elements).
• End-to-end experience on at least one S/4HANA upgrade or greenfield implementation that reached production.
• Deep knowledge of CDS, RAP, OData v2, SAP Gateway, launchpad content manager / designer, transport management, and performance tuning (preload, cache-busting, DOM-optimized binding).
• Confident troubleshooting with Chrome DevTools, UI5 Support Assistant, and browser network tools; clear communicator under tight timelines.
