Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. MFC is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures and supports advanced products for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies. At Lockheed Martin, we apply our passion for purposeful innovation to keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges. We are seeking a talented Software Developer to support the continued development and program roll out of the Advanced Rapid Integration Simulation Environment (ARISE) Analytics platform.
What You Will Be Doing
The AI/ML Data Analytics team seeks a Senior Data Engineer to support the design, implementation, and refinement of a large scale data storage system.
This responsibility includes providing leadership and mentorship to junior data and software engineers, establishing the standard processes that will be applied to development and production-ready analytics solutions, staying connected with research in academia, and helping apply those best-of-breed solutions practically to help solve our technical challenges.
You can enjoy working with teams that include other Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, system domain experts, and Project Managers to understand the fundamentals of our most challenging technical problems and how Data Engineering and advanced analytics may be applied to solve them. Given the nature of the discipline adaptability is a key trait with rapidly changing technologies and the willingness to continuously learn and integrate emerging tools and frameworks.
In this position you will support the design of data pipelines, data strategies, and program processes that address these problems. You will be helping to define and communicate a long-term roadmap for a modern data platform, including guiding principles, data architecture standards, and technology stack decisions.
