Platform Engineering LeadFull-Time Salaried position in Plano, TexasThe Platform Engineering Lead will spearhead the transformation of ODS?s software development lifecycle (SDLC) by establishing scalable, cloud-native platforms and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in test automation, modern DevOps practices, and cross-functional team leadership. The ideal candidate will also build and mentor a high-performing team in India to support global operations while driving platform standardization, quality, and compliance across company initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Platform Engineering Leadership
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cloud native.
  • Drive the adoption of "paved path" technologies to standardize development pipelines across teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, QE, Solution Architecture, Agile Coach) to ensure end-to-end platform alignment.

Quality Engineering Enablement

  • Build foundational tooling for quality initiatives, including source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools like Windsurf IDE and Cursor IDE to accelerate code quality analysis and debugging workflows.
  • Implement test management solutions (e.g., Jira/X-Ray) to centralize test case creation, execution, and reporting.

Team Building & Mentorship

  • Recruit, train, and manage a platform engineering team in India to expand global capabilities.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers on DevOps practices, automation frameworks, and cloud architecture.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through enablement sessions and cross-team collaboration.

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish governance processes to ensure compliance with PHI/PII regulations (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).
  • Implement robust monitoring solutions (e.g., New Relic) to enhance operational resilience.
  • Develop dashboards to track platform usage metrics, test case coverage, and production issue prevention rates.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive the adoption of ITIL-based processes for change management and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with production support teams to ensure seamless deployments and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in platform engineering or quality engineering roles with a focus on test automation frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in Jira/X-Ray integration for SDLC traceability.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) and modern DevOps tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, Playwright, Pact Broker, and JMeter.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools such as Windsurf IDE or Cursor IDE for code analysis and optimization.
  • Demonstrated success in building offshore teams (preferably in India) to scale global engineering operations.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms: AWS/Azure (architecture certifications preferred).
  • Strong programming skills: C#, Python, JavaScript, or Java for scripting automated tests.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline optimization using Jenkins or similar tools.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer Certification.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
