Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation of fire alarm systems in new construction environments. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are looking to grow within a company that values craftsmanship, reliability, and long-term commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure conventional and addressable fire alarm systems in new construction apartment and condo buildings.
• Perform rough wiring, including pulling and routing cables (18-2, 16-2, 16-4) through walls, ceilings, and conduits.
• Mount and secure electrical boxes, panels, and devices using hand and power tools.
• Drill holes, run wire, and complete installation tasks in a hands-on, active work environment.
• Collaborate with team leads and project managers to ensure installations meet code requirements and project timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors via text or phone for daily assignments and site updates.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience installing fire alarm systems in commercial or multi-unit residential settings.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm system components, wiring standards, and installation best practices.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools, including drills, hammers, multi-meters, and basic electrical tools.
• Ability to work independently and complete 10+ units per day with minimal supervision.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle and be willing to travel up to 1 hour to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pipe work (EMT or rigid conduit).
• Familiarity with fire alarm programming, either through a laptop or annunciator panel.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Contract-to-Hire: Opportunity to convert to full-time after 6 months based on performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
