Job Details

As Director Technology, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of our technology roadmaps. You'll collaborate with program leadership (Directors and Chief engineers) and the business development team to create business strategies, engage with customers and business partners to align roadmaps and develop relationships to foster collaborations that will enable profitable growth. You'll support the delivery of new product development goals, optimize, implement, and execute technology roadmaps for rapid and smooth product development and fielding and provide technical support to win new business. You'll be responsible for oversight of AI/ML efforts supporting new product capture and development. You'll provide technical and programmatic oversight of IRAD and CRAD efforts supporting the same and be responsible for capturing and executing CRAD efforts supporting P&L growth efforts.

Responsibilities

SNC is seeking a Director Technology, AI to join our Technology and Innovation team. As Director Technology, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of our technology roadmaps. You'll collaborate with program leadership (Directors and Chief engineers) and the Strategy team to create business strategies, engage with customers and business partners to align roadmaps and develop relationships to foster collaborations that will enable profitable growth. You'll support the delivery of new product development goals, optimize, implement, and execute technology roadmaps for rapid and smooth product development and fielding and provide technical support to win new business. You'll be responsible for oversight of Mission and Operational Analyses efforts supporting new product capture and development. You'll provide technical and programmatic oversight of IRAD and CRAD efforts supporting the same and be responsible for capturing and executing CRAD efforts supporting P&L growth efforts.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study
  • Relevant experience may substitute for required education
  • Ability to ensure alignment between business unit pursuits & programs, strategic campaigns, focused capture efforts, and BA level Technology Leadership
  • Relevant experience engaging new potential customers, and collecting and developing requirements for new programs
  • Possess ability to develop initial concepts and scope for new programs
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: Business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies
  • Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences
  • Extensive experience developing technology and IRaD (Research and Development) roadmaps, and seeing them through to completion
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Typically 10-12+ years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree or higher in an Engineering or similar field of study
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies
  • Previous management experience; ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee staffing development and maintenance
  • Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
  • Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
  • Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $192,613.86 - $264,844.06. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
