We are currently looking for 'Systems Engineer (with IVD and/or RETINA experience)' to support one of our clients with the following skills:

Requirement:

Title: Systems Engineer (with IVD and/or RETINA experience)

Location: Tucson, AZ (100% onsite) come in as needed

Duration: 12+ months

If the person has IVD and/or RETINA this person will be highly preferred.

Role Description

Title: Systems Engineer
Focus: Integration of software with hardware, requirement writing, testing, and risk analysis
Tool Used: Retina for requirements, risk verification, and validation

Responsibilities

Requirements Management:
- Write and refine requirements
- Develop test cases to verify requirements
Validation & Testing:
- Validate customer requirements
- Conduct failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) from a software perspective
Integration:
- Integrate software with hardware systems
- Address software bugs and defects
- Manage defect resolution and write new requirements for future software releases
Risk Management:
- Perform software and cybersecurity FMEA
Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with departments: Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Development (both hardware and software)
- Interface with the team in Romania and external vendors or contractors

Requirements

Technical Skills:
- Software background or skill set
- Experience with system integration between hardware and software
- Familiarity with risk, requirement verification, and validation in a regulated industry
Cybersecurity Knowledge:
- Helpful for conducting specific cybersecurity FMEA
Agile Framework:
- Experience with planning in an agile environment
Soft Skills:
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Customer-focused innovation
- Technical problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and within an agile team
- Willingness to learn company-specific systems and software

Additional Qualifications

Experience working with international teams or external vendors
Demonstrated ability to handle defect management and bug resolution

Collaboration and Teamwork

Internal Collaboration:
- Interface with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Development teams
External Collaboration:
- Work with the Romania team and external contractors/vendors

Tools and Processes

Primary Tool: RETINA for managing requirements, risk, verification, and validation
Methodology: Agile planning and execution

The national base pay range below is a good-faith estimate of what our client may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Client's assessment of the candidates knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $90,000 - $100,000
