Position: Business Analyst
Location: CA
Duration: 12 Months

Task List:
  • Evaluate existing documentation library to understand the scope/nature of project, structure of change, and the required number of documents that need to be updated.
  • Meet with various subject matter experts (SMEs) to gain insight and background on various PCIS and ePlanLA projects, and document the ultimate goals and objectives of each project.
  • Elicit and gather detailed, comprehensive, and accurate business requirements for core users and other pertinent staff.
  • Create, design, and document wireframes and design concepts.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts.
  • Provide end-user training and overall implementation support for PCIS, ePlanLA, and the LACPS.
  • Create and maintain various project tracking tools (e.g., meeting trackers, action item trackers, etc.).
  • Perform data analysis, cleansing, and transformation processes.
  • Create and maintain interactive data dashboards.
  • Design and generate reports for business continuity and business analytics.
  • Other related tasks as identified by LADBS.
Performance Specifications: Contractor shall meet the following key high-level work products and outcomes: (Note: this list is not exhaustive.)3+ years of work experience in Information Technology or Data Analysis.
  • 3+ years of work experience gathering business requirements, including: functional, user, and system requirements; creating application wireframes; developing process flow diagrams; writing high-quality technical and user guide documentation; performing heavy research; and other business analysis tasks for software/SDLC implementation projects.
  • 1+ year of experience as a project manager over a project with a heavy IT component. Expected first-hand knowledge/experience with various assignment, resource allocation, and monitoring tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in extracting and translating large data sets and relational databases.
