Description

SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats. This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements across the technology spectrum and distributed architectures to deliver a cutting-edge approach.

SAIC is seeking an experienced System Engineer who will work closely with the Chief Engineer in support of our United States Air Force ABMS customer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of complex systems by ensuring that all project requirements are thoroughly understood, documented, and effectively communicated throughout the project lifecycle. Perform System Engineering activities from Requirements to architecture and detailed design. Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system and architecture alternatives to inform customer investment decisions/recommendations. Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) principles to define Engineering Baseline, Functional Baseline, and Allocate Baseline down to Product Baseline. Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop architectural views using DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML). Analyze MBSE models to derive mission threads and use cases to aid in system-level verification planning. Identify proposed changes to technical baseline documents (i.e., interface documents, specifications documents, architecture products. Develop and implement metrics to measure product quality and development performance.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and five (5) years or more experience; Master's degree and three (3) years or more experience; PhD or JD.

Experience working in an Agile framework and/or DevOps methodologies.

Strong understanding of Systems Engineering V

Experience developing Systems Engineering artifacts from EBL, FBL, ABL, DBL and PBL to support SETR events.

Experience with developing Systems Specifications and Sub-Systems Specification

Provide thought leadership and innovative solution design addressing the operational mission.

Experience in DoDAF, SysML and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Proficiency using DOORS or other requirements management tool.

Excellent written and oral (briefing) communication skills.

Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable tools.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in teams.

Familiarity with relevant industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE).

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
