Position Overview
The Dynamics 365 Systems Architect will provide application development and integration services to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, supporting the following agencies:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of agency applications. Project work will be conducted within the framework of the State of Michigan's System Engineering Methodology (SEM). Responsibilities include the development, testing, and deployment of application releases, updates, and modifications in both client/server and web server environments.

Position Overview
The Dynamics 365 Systems Architect will provide application development and integration services to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, supporting the following agencies:
- Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR)
- Michigan Civil Service Commission (MCSC)
- Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP)
The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of agency applications. Responsibilities include the development, testing, and deployment of application releases, updates, and modifications in both client/server and web server environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for the Dynamics 365 platform.
- Lead and perform project tasks including requirements gathering, planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance.
- Oversee Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations.
- Design and document technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms, including systems integration and authentication.
- Manage CI/CD and release processes for Dynamics 365-related technologies.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues.
- Prepare detailed documentation and reports.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to various audiences.
- Resolve complex problems under pressure and in high-stress environments.
- Provide technical customer service support.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations
- 5+ years of architecture experience
- 3+ years of experience with Power Platform solutions, particularly Power Automate and Power Pages
- 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps
- 3+ years of database architecture experience
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/network and application support
- Experience designing and documenting technical architecture solutions across platforms
- Experience with CI/CD and release/change management processes
- Familiarity with Azure services and Azure communications
- Experience working with APIs
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to gather and analyze requirements and deliver optimal solutions
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Customer Service Analyst
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Azure, and application support (5+ years)
