V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) AMI Analyst for our premier client in Louisville, Kentucky.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree preferably in Information Systems, Database Administration, Geographic Information Systems, or related field; and
- Three (3) years experience in, metering technology solutions, information systems or related fields; and
- Valid drivers license.
Preferred:
- Advanced Metering Infrastructure experience.
- Utility metering processes and hardware.
- Served in a data analysis role (or equivalent).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Business functions and business areas' information systems and applications.
- Business areas' data needs, automated equipment, operating systems, and software of various platforms (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access, etc.).
- Basic Understanding of Metering processes and hardware.
- Basic Understanding of AMI and AMR technology.
- Must possess analytical skills and project conceptual and logical reasoning.
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines as designated by management.
- Must possess excellent organization and communications skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills in working with others inside and outside the company.
- Must be a strong problem solver with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly.
- Must possess effective troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to develop queries and display the data.
- Must demonstrate the ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate resolution through group meetings.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of cycle-based billing.
- Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing, and conducting work assignments.
- Effectively utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments.
- Identifies and eliminates unnecessary work and non-value-added activities.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains documentation, change management principles, data integration, data trend analysis, management and integration of different data sources, data mining, training, and compliance material.
- Develop training materials and perform train the trainer for metering solutions technologies.
- Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and analyzing of meter reading hardware, software, data, equipment, and processes serving as the point of contact for system users in a help desk support capacity.
- Assists in managing and maintaining relationships with vendors and support services for software and equipment maintenance and service requests including outages, repairs, replacements, and programmatic fixes.
- Analyze non-communicating endpoints to determine if field investigations are necessary.
- Maintain the accuracy and quality of AMI network data, asset information and system performance reporting.
- Support planned and unplanned optimization efforts and, through extensive analytics, provide data that will result in recommendations for enhancements and modifications to the AMI infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, and report systems performance metrics to users and management.
- Monitor the AMI system, including performing daily maintenance and ensuring all billing critical routes are valid ahead of daily file processing.
- Maintain a working inventory of AMI and AMR equipment and support the system users of the equipment.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
