Job Title: Azure DevOps Consultant
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
- The Azure DevOps Consultant will configure and maintain on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, scalability, and security.
- This role is responsible for supporting CI/CD processes, automating environments, resolving issues, and developing integrations that enable end-to-end traceability across development lifecycles.
- The consultant will also manage provisioning, infrastructure automation, and troubleshooting across compute, storage, and network layers.
- 7+ years of experience with automation and orchestration tooling/technology (Azure, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD.
- Experience using, managing, and provisioning Azure services.
- Experience with coding languages such as Python, Spark, Scala, R, Java, and C#.
- Experience with APIs and web services.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Portal.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AKS, Azure AD, Azure App Service, Azure Application Gateway, Azure VPN Gateway, Web Application Firewall, Azure Front Door.
- Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, DNS, routing, firewalls, networking, load balancing, and system monitoring.
- Knowledge of information security best practices and principles (certificates, encryption, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Working knowledge of XML, JSON, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Azure certification preferred.
- Experience with Azure AD app registration and OAuth 2.0.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Durable Functions, and API Management.
- Experience in containerization and microservices.
- Azure AD and app registration experience required.
- Experience establishing workflows using automated pipelines for CI/CD.
- Experience managing source code repositories, merging, branching, resolving conflicts, and documenting procedures.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and automating deployments to non-production and production environments.
- Experience with Azure Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and other DevOps components.
- Configure and maintain on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure using automated scripts and configuration management tools.
- Deploy integrated or standalone releases across multiple interconnected applications.
- Use industry-standard tools to improve product and service delivery.
- Resolve issues quickly by identifying and solving problems related to production builds.
- Configure and automate development and test environments, deployments, and test data management.
- Develop integrations for end-to-end traceability across application development.
- Develop, maintain, and automate infrastructure provisioning and configurations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD development and all aspects of compute, storage, and network.
- Strong understanding of DevOps best practices and cloud architecture.
- Azure DevOps tools and cloud services.
- Terraform, scripting, and automation.
- Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Networking and security fundamentals.
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Azure certification preferred.
