Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Firewall Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role emphasizes deep expertise in firewall technologies, network segmentation, and Azure networking services to support enterprise-grade systems and regulatory compliance.

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Firewall Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role emphasizes deep expertise in firewall technologies, network segmentation, and Azure networking services to support enterprise-grade systems and regulatory compliance.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Engineer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Networks, Firewalls, VPN, and Azure Network Security services.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure high availability and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities as needed.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure network configurations align with regulatory and internal standards.
- Manage Azure networking components such as Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
- Lead the engineering and implementation of firewall policies, rule sets, and segmentation strategies across data centers and cloud platforms.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Network Engineer Associate, PCNSE, CCNP Security).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and micro-segmentation strategies.
- Proficiency in Azure networking services and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto or Cisco ASA firewalls.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on firewall technologies and cloud networking.
