Responsibilities may include:\n Provide support to design, engineering, prototyping and validation activities for all hardware product lines\n Help to create the next generation of the world's finest hardware devices\n Conceive, design, and bring into production products that will re-define user experience \n Work closely with many different multi-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Packaging, Safety,Hardware Engineering, EMC, and Marketing

Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field of study. \nAt the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate.

It's helpful if you meet one or more of the following qualifications, but it isn't a requirement\nProduct design experience (preferably consumer electronics)\nExperience working with component modules (LCD assemblies, batteries, camera modules, etc.) and their interconnect (FPC design and ACF bonding)\nKnowledge of materials science fundamentals for plastic, adhesive, metal, glass, ceramic, composite, and coating materials\nAbility to use statistical tools and techniques\nKnowledge of finite element analysis theory and general mechanical engineering analysis\nAbility in plastic, metal, composite, and glass/ceramic part design\n3-D CAD skills\nExperience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing\nHandheld, portable and/or hardware experience\nKnowledge and understanding of the integration of wireless antenna (GSM, GPS, Wifi) into mechanical enclosures\nKnowledge and understanding of the design of audio subsystems (microphone, speaker, receiver)\nProficiency in Unigraphics or Pro-engineer\nAbility to work in a team-based environment\nAbility to be proactive and take initiative\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills\nFlexibility and adaptability\nAbility to work on multiple requests/tests at the same time\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills
