Location : Charlotte, NC - (Local to NC only)
Onsite - Contract
Only on W2
We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, system administration, networking, and automation. This role requires hands-on experience in configuring, securing, and maintaining scalable, highly available cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.)
Manage system performance, availability, and scalability across multiple environments.
Implement security controls and compliance best practices within AWS.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Monitor infrastructure and application health using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools.
Troubleshoot network and server issues in Linux/Windows environments.
Manage user access and permissions using AWS IAM and Active Directory integrations.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to improve cloud operations and CI/CD pipelines.
Stay up to date with AWS new features, pricing changes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:
4+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Cloud Administrator.
2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
Strong understanding of VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana).
Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration.
Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automation.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline).
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, firewalls).
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate) is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with container orchestration (ECS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
Exposure to multi-account AWS management and AWS Organizations.
Understanding of cost optimization and AWS billing management.
Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
