Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Denver, CO. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Netezza and Google Cloud Platform BigQuery to be considered.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Netezza and Google BigQuery to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Migrate and modernize legacy data systems from Netezza to Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement data governance and security protocols to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, proactively resolving issues and improving system reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Netezza and Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.
- Proven experience in migrating data from legacy systems to cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for large-scale data processing.
