Title: Social Media Strategist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: Contract
Responsibilities
Execute, optimize, and support social content and publishing strategies for assigned products and campaigns within the TFT Esports portfolio (Set Championships, Opens [ex: TFT Macao Open], etc.), co-owning the day-to-day operations
Co-manage agency partners in the operation of official global esports social media channels across established and emerging platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp) including content calendar planning, publishing, copywriting, asset management, and managing social communities with a player-first mindset
Closely collaborate with the TFT product social media team to create resonant esports content for the product audience.
Communicate with regional esports social teams and agency partners to create compelling content and campaigns across global and regional esports events, ensuring campaign coordination and amplification efforts are aligned
Work collaboratively across Community, Brand, Creative, Editorial, Influencer, and PR teams to champion player-first ideas and build globally integrated campaigns and strategies
Identify esports social media trends, best practices, and opportunities to inspire relevant content and innovation
Assist in managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and effectively, thoughtfully prioritizing and problem-solving
Required Qualifications
5-8 years of relevant professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, or equivalent
Proficient in all relevant social media platforms, with direct experience in publishing and content optimization for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, and WhatsApp
Familiarity with platform tools such as Talkwalker, Hootsuite, Airtable
Experience building, executing, and scaling social media campaigns across multiple platforms with a proven track record of growing audiences and delivering on engagement metrics
Proactive and collaborative mindset
Passion for and in-depth knowledge of the digital media landscape and Internet culture
Knowledge of the esports landscape, both specific to the TFT esports scene and generally
Willingness and ability to travel for up to 15% of the year required to support social media live events coverage (passport required)
