Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer with deep experience in LAN implementation, troubleshooting, and support. This is a fully onsite role in Peoria, IL. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multiple technical teams, including LAN, Security, and Firewall teams, to maintain and evolve the infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues; replace defective components as needed

  • Respond to LAN-related support requests

  • Participate in an on-call rotation, including off-shift and weekend support

  • Collaborate with business partners and vendors on infrastructure integration

  • Design and improve processes for LAN development and support

  • Adhere to ITSM processes and document all changes

  • Plan and execute changes in collaboration with other teams (firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC)

  • Advise business units on LAN-related technical concerns

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree

  • 10+ years of IT experience, including:

    • 5-7 years in Network Engineering

    • Strong LAN experience: implementation, operations, and support

    • Solid understanding of risk domains, TCP/IP, Ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, OSPF, VLANs, trucking, and switching configuration

    • Experience with Cisco switches and equipment

Desired Qualifications:

  • CCNA certification

  • Experience with automation/scripting

  • Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center)

  • Wireless networking experience

  • Background in medium-to-large corporate environments
