Account Executive Job Description
As an Account Executive, you will wear many hats: problem solver, customer contact, expectation manager, customer hero, relationship builder, and logistics expert. Each day presents new opportunities to make quick decisions and expand your book of business. You are the primary contact for customers, ensuring they have a positive experience with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage transactions and negotiate with customers to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Demonstrate practical effectiveness in CRM tools and consistently deliver on commitments.
- Build and maintain strong customer relations, with efficient time management and follow-up after each shipment.
- Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Exhibit ethical integrity in all assignments.
- Present and negotiate effectively, demonstrating strong persuasive skills.
- Utilize entrepreneurial and organizational skills to grow your business.
- Clearly communicate the value proposition to prospective and returning customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to penetrate targeted accounts.
- Execute the sales operating model with defined goals and objectives.
- Prospect and qualify warm leads.
- Conduct discovery meetings with existing and new customers to uncover needs and acquire new business.
- Cold call potential customers and develop new relationships.
- Maintain customer satisfaction with current accounts and expand business footprint.
- Proactively engage with customers to maintain business and ensure satisfaction.
- Be adaptable, knowledgeable, and resourceful to solve customer issues.
Requirements:
- College degree strongly preferred, but not required.
- Ability to multitask effectively, handling multiple screens, email, text, and phone calls.
- Strong work ethic, negotiating skills, and a drive to be successful.
- Basic computer skills.
- Prior Salesforce experience preferred, but not required.
- Prior sales experience required.
- Comfortable in a dynamic sales floor environment
- Proven track record of business development results, including prospecting new business and closing profitable deals.
- Skilled in identifying, approaching, presenting, and building relationships with decision-makers in a complex sales environment.
- Comfortable interacting with all levels, from field teams to executives.
