About the Role
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Mastercard, you will be part of the BizOps team responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical applications and infrastructure. You will engage in the full lifecycle of services-from design and launch to ongoing operations-while driving automation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Production Readiness & Operational Excellence
oConduct capacity planning and readiness reviews for new services.
oEnsure availability, latency, and performance of live systems.
oDrive incident response and lead blameless postmortems.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
oBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
oAutomate operational tasks to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
Monitoring & Risk Management
oImplement and manage observability tools for proactive monitoring.
oOversee change management and compliance processes.
Collaboration
oPartner with development, operations, and product teams to align reliability goals with business priorities.
oAdvocate for DevOps best practices across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Shell).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.
Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and incident management systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles.
Understanding of operational resilience and compliance frameworks.
Certifications in DevOps or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
