HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE COMPANY

Reporting to the Network Manager, the Network Administrator will be responsibilities for the daily administration of the network and server environment, and monitoring of the environment to ensure a secure and protected environment of the company's IT assets and for the 1,500+ system users globally. The position will also be expected to design, propose, and implement, various networking projects, and ensure network security, endpoint security, application security, and data security.

The administrator should also have a solid networking foundation and understanding of how it affects the business environment. Completing tasks of varying complexity with minimal oversight, while producing detailed documentation of procedures and processes.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Assisting with the daily administration of a network/server environment
  • Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network, endpoint, and application security solutions
  • Supports team efforts to improve cybersecurity controls and defenses and assumes primary responsibility role for defending against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction of company data.
  • Quickly diagnosing and offering solutions to support desk staff as required
  • Performing routine updates and maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining and developing technical documentation
  • Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.
  • Working on projects of various complexity in a lead or support capacity.
  • Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing/testing disaster recovery plans
  • Configuring and supporting security tools, such as vulnerability scanners, firewalls, antivirus software, etc.
  • Consulting with staff and management about the best security practices and providing technical advice.
  • Hours are typically 8-5, Monday to Friday, in the office.

IDEAL PROFILE

  • Bachelor s Degree in Network Administration and/or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in network administration
  • Experience with Cisco products like routers, Core switches, switches, phone systems, and wireless technologies. (Configuring, implementing, troubleshooting)
  • Expertise with security-related tools, firewalls, and data backup solutions (Fortinet, Veeam, NDR, SIEM)
  • Effective with supporting enterprise-level operational environments (alerting, troubleshooting, procedure creation, documentation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in maintaining complex enterprise network infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of support and configuring endpoint security products (CrowdStrike, KnowBe4, etc.)
  • Ability to work with vendor sales staff when acquiring new products and the ability to work with vendor technical support staff when resolving problems
  • Currently reside within a reasonable commute to St. Joseph, MI or willing to relocate upon hire.
  • Authorized to work in the USA without any form of sponsorship, now and in the future.
